Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Note Genie AI (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Houston IT Developers LLC ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the mobile app, website, and related services.
Description of Service
Note Genie AI provides AI-powered recording, transcription, and summarization services. You can record voice notes, meetings, and lectures, and the app uses artificial intelligence to generate transcripts, summaries, key points, and action items. We offer a free tier with 30 minutes of AI processing per month, and paid subscription plans with higher limits: Light Pro (100 minutes/month), Pro (300 minutes/month), and Power User (1,000 minutes/month). Features and plan details may change over time.
User Accounts and Responsibilities
You must create an account to use Note Genie AI. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play, managed by RevenueCat. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play settings. Prices may change with reasonable notice. Refunds are handled according to the refund policies of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not process payments directly.
Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all recordings, transcripts, summaries, and other content you create using Note Genie AI. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (transcription, summarization, storage, and delivery). We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. We do not use your content to train AI models. The Note Genie AI app, website, branding, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of Houston IT Developers LLC and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to: record individuals without their knowledge or consent where required by applicable law; upload or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; use the Service to violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or hack the Service; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers and networks; use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service; impersonate any person or entity; or use the Service for any purpose other than its intended personal and professional note-taking use.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated transcripts and summaries may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should not rely on AI-generated content as the sole record of important conversations without verification.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Houston IT Developers LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we determine that your use poses a risk to the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data and content in accordance with our Privacy Policy within 30 days of account deletion.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
